Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Huxle is a color-hunting game you play with a small crew of friends. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can and never sell your data.
Who we are
Huxle (“we,” “us”) is an independent app. For any privacy question or request, contact us at charlx.studio@gmail.com.
What we collect
Account. You can play without an email or password — Huxle creates an anonymous guest account tied to your device. You may set an optional display name so your crew can recognize you.
Photos & content you create. When you fill a color grid, the photo you take is uploaded so your crew can see it, and is stored with the round it belongs to. Photos also stay on your device. “Save my shots to Photos” in Settings is on by default, so your shots are saved to your Photos library unless you turn it off — iOS asks your permission before the first one is added.
Crew & social data. The crews and friends you join or create, invite codes, and interactions within a round (color-match scores, awards, reactions).
Gameplay data. Rounds you take part in, streaks, and your color finds — used to run the game and show your history.
Notifications. If you turn on notifications, we register a device token with Apple's push service so we can send round and streak reminders. You can turn this off at any time.
On-device data. Your solo color finds are stored on your device and in your iCloud backup (managed by Apple, not by us).
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
How we use it
- To run the game — matching colors, filling grids, and keeping crews in sync.
- To show your crew your finds, names, and awards during a round.
- To send the notifications you have opted into.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
How it is stored and shared
App data is stored using Supabase, our hosting and database provider, which processes it on our behalf. Photos and gameplay content are visible to the crew you share them with. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
Retention & deletion
We keep your content while your account is active. You can sign out at any time from Settings, which starts a fresh guest account on your device.
You can delete your account from inside the app: You → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything on our servers that belongs to it — your profile, your crews and friends, and the photos you put into shared grids. Crews you started stay with your crewmates. Your solo memories are stored on your device and are kept. If you signed in with Apple, that grant is revoked at the same time. It cannot be undone, and the app opens a fresh guest account afterwards.
You can also email charlx.studio@gmail.com and we will delete it for you.
Your choices
- Notifications — manage in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.
- Photos library — “Save my shots to Photos” is on by default; turn it off in Settings.
- Deletion — delete your account in the app, or ask us to do it.
Children
Huxle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
