One line

Huxle is a daily colour hunt: one colour lands each day, and you go out and photograph something that matches it.

Short

Huxle gives everyone the same colour on the same day and asks them to find it in the real world. You photograph a wall, a jacket, a bruised peach, and your phone measures how close you got — on the phone, with no connection needed. A crew can fill one grid together, or you can play entirely alone.

Long

Huxle is a daily colour hunt for iPhone, built by CharlX Studio in Taipei. Each day it names one of twelve colours — the same one for everyone — and the game is to go and find it: a temple door, a taxi, a plastic stool, a bag of taro. You photograph what you find and the app scores the match using CIEDE2000, the standard measure of perceived colour difference, entirely on the device.

The twelve colours are drawn from Taiwanese street colour and were chosen by measurement rather than by eye. An earlier palette was replaced after testing showed it was structurally too hard to find, and the rebuild is documented publicly as a trade — more findable, slightly looser — rather than as a clean win.

Huxle needs no account, shows no ads, and does no cross-app tracking. It is free, in English and Traditional Chinese, and currently in open beta through TestFlight.
